Lydia Gurley (born 9 September 1984) is an Irish track and road cyclist. She competed at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships in the points race, team pursuit and elimination race events. Athenry
Athenry (; ) is a town in County Galway, Ireland, which lies east of Galway city. Some of the attractions of the medieval town are its town wall, Athenry Castle, its priory and its 13th century street-plan. The town is also well known by virtue of the song " The Fields of Athenry". History Athenry's name derives from the ford ('Áth') crossing the river Clarin just east of the settlement. Though other inaccurate explanations are still given, it was called 'Áth na Ríogh' ('Ford of the Kings') because it was the home area of the Cenél nDéigill, kings of the Soghain, whose leading lineage were the Ó Mainnín. The 2019–20 UCI Track Cycling World Cup (also known as the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a multi-race tournament over a track cycling season. It is the 28th series of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the UCI. The 2016–17 UCI Track Cycling World Cup was a multi-race series over a track cycling season. It was the 25th edition of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the UCI. The series ran from 4 November 2016 to 26 February 2017 and consisted of four rounds. Series This World Cup season consisted of four rounds, in Glasgow (United Kingdom), Apeldoorn (the Netherlands), Cali (Colombia) and Los Angeles (United States). Glasgow, Great Britain The first round was hosted in Glasgow. The racing was held on three full days between 4 and 6 November 2016 at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. Lydia Boylan
Lydia Boylan (born 19 July 1987) is an Irish racing cyclist, who competes in the track and road disciplines of the sport. Boylan won the Irish National Road Race Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017. She competed for Northern Ireland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where she finished 21st in the women's road race, 14th in the scratch race and 16th in the points race. She is eligible to represent Northern Ireland through her mother. She rode at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She has competed for the and teams during her career. Irish National Cycling Championships
The Irish National Cycling Championships are annual cycling races to decide the Irish cycling champion for several disciplines, across several categories of rider. The men's road championship is usually held on a Sunday at end of June; the women's race is held the previous day. The winning élite rider wears the national champion's jersey for all road races in the following 12 months. The men's under-23 champion is awarded to the first under-23 in the élite race. The junior road races are held on the same day as the élite and the time-trial championship is earlier in the week. The national criteriums are later in the summer.
