Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. Between 1634 and 2009, Finland was administered as several provinces, or counties (, ). Finland had always been a unitary state: the provincial authorities were part of the central government's executive branch and apart from Ã…land, the provinces had little autonomy. There were never any elected provincial parliaments in continental Finland. Säppi Lighthouse
Säppi Lighthouse (, ) is a lighthouse on the coast of Bothnian Sea, located in Eurajoki, in the island of Säppi. The lighthouse stands approximately 14 kilometers Southwest of the Port of Pori on the area of Eurajoki municipality. Säppi
Säppi () is an island on the coast of Bothnian Sea in the municipality of Eurajoki in Finland. The island is located some west of the city of Pori and off the mainland. Island of Säppi is best known of the 1873 built Säppi Lighthouse and its community which are inventoried by the Finnish National Board of Antiquities as one of Cultural heritage sites of national importance in Finland. Säppi has been a part of the Bothnian Sea National Park since 2011. Today the island is visited some 4,000 tourists annually. Säppi is one of the seven Finnish islands with a wild mouflon population. They were introduced in 1949 by a group of local hunters. The Säppi sheep have given the name for a beer brand "Mufloni", bottled by a local brewery Panimoravintola Beer Hunter's, Beer Hunter's. Satakunta (region)
Satakunta (in both Finnish and Swedish, ; historically ''Satacundia'') is a region ( / ) of Finland, part of the former Western Finland Province. It borders the regions of Southwest Finland, Pirkanmaa, South Ostrobothnia and Ostrobothnia. The capital city of the region is Pori. The name of the region literally means hundred. The historical province of the same name was a larger area within Finland, covering modern Satakunta as well as much of Pirkanmaa. Western Finland
Western Finland (, ) was a province of Finland from 1997 to 2009. It bordered the provinces of Oulu, Eastern Finland and Southern Finland. It also bordered the Gulf of Bothnia towards Åland. Tampere was the largest city of the province.
