Luqman Jimoh
Shaykh Luqman Jimoh is a Nigerian professor of Islamic medicine and theology who became the acting vice chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria, since 5 January 2023 following the death of former vice chancellor, Professor Mustapha Akanbi. He was the deputy vice-chancellor (academics) until his appointment as the vice-chancellor. Education and career Jimoh had his first degree in Arabic from the University of Ilorin in the year 1988 and then obtained his master's degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from the University of Ibadan in 1995 while his Ph.D. was in Islamic studies from the Lagos State University 2007. Kwara State University (KWASU), is a public university, public state-owned, state research university located in Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria. It is the 77th university to be registered by the Nigerian Universities Commission, NUC, and the 95th university to be recognized in Nigeria. Muhammad Mustapha Olaroungbe Akanbi SAN (24 January 1971 – 20 November 2022) was a Nigerian professor of Law and the former vice chancellor of Kwara State University. He was a member of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria and the Nigeria Bar Association. Early life and education Mustapha Akanbi was born in 1971 at Ile Magaji Kemberi, Awodi, Gambari Quarters, Ilorin East, Kwara State of Nigeria to Mustapha Akanbi, a Nigerian civil servant.
