Lupçi I Epërm
Lupçi i epërm (in Albanian language, Albanian) or Gornje Ljupče or (in Serbian language, Serbian; Горње Љупче) is a village located in the municipality of Podujevo, District of Pristina, Kosovo. Geography Lupçi i epërm is located on the gorge of Kaçandoll river (major tributary of the Llapi River, Llapi river). Village has a close geographical position toward four municipal centres in north-eastern Kosovo: Podujevo (10 km / 6 mi. ENE), Vushtrri (11 km / 7 mi. WSW), Mitrovica, Kosovo, Mitrovica (19 km / 12 mi. W), Pristina (21 km / 13 mi. SSE). Lupçi i epërm borders with three other villages, Popovë (Kështjellas) to the north, Majac to the south, and Zagorë (Vushtrri, Municipality of Vushtrri) to the south-west. Ukshin Nuhë Peci (1904 – 20 February 1947), known as Ukshin Kovaçica, was an Albanians, Albanian nationalist and Balli Kombëtar commander in Kosovo during World War II. He was one of the most notable fighters in the region Shala e Bajgorës. Albanian National Democratic Movement
Albanian National Democratic Movement, known by its Albanian initials as LNDSH or NDSH, became a near-total anti-communist resistance in Kosovo between 1945 and 1947. It drew some of its members from among the functionaries of the former pro-Axis Albanian occupation regime, but since the insurrection became general, embracing almost the entire Kosovar Albanian population, numerous Kosovar Albanian Partisans were quickly drawn to participate in it.
