Luo Yigang
Luo Yigang (; born 22 March 1975) is a retired Chinese badminton player and currently serving as national badminton coach of Chinese team. Career Luo Yigang is a former star in China's men's singles. He has a high savvy, comprehensive technique and steady style of play. He can often give full play to his level in the game. After starting badminton at the age of 9, Yigang entered the Hunan team when he turned 13. Luo made China's B team at the beginning of 1996, and the A team a few months later. In 96, he won the silver medal in the Asian Championships, losing the final to Indonesia's Jeffer Rosobin. He qualified for 1997 World Badminton Grand Prix Finals. 1998 was his best year as he won the Swedish Open and was a semi-finalist at the All England. The Swedish Open is an open badminton tournament that is annually held since 2018, previously from 1956 to 2000 after which the organizer, Svenska Badmintonförbundet Badminton Sweden ( sv, Svenska Badmintonförbundet) is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Sweden. Wong Choong Hann
Wong Choong Hann (; born 17 February 1977) is a former badminton player from Malaysia. He is the first Malaysian to win a medal in the men's singles event at the BWF World Championships. Currently he is the coaching director for the Malaysia national badminton team. Career Wong Choong Hann's career began with the 1996 Malaysia Open. The first tournament he won was the 1997 Dutch Open. He represented Malaysia in 2002, where Malaysia emerged runners-up to Indonesia in the Thomas Cup championships. In 2003, Wong reached the World Championships finals. In a thrilling three-game match between the veterans (both he and his opponent were above 24 years old then), he eventually lost out to the champion from China, Xia Xuanze. Rashid Sidek
Datuk Abdul Rashid bin Mohd Sidek (born 6 July 1968) is a Malaysian former badminton player and coach. Personal life He is the youngest of the famous five Sidek brothers. Rashid and his siblings gained exposure to badminton from their father, Mohd Sidek, a former player turned coach. Under the guidance of their father, Rashid and the rest of his siblings were trained to be champions from an early age. Additionally, Rashid was also an alumnus of Victoria Institution from the 1980–1986 batch. Career After completing his Sijil Penilaian Menengah (SPM) exam, he was injected into the Project 1988/90 squad with the aim of regaining the Thomas Cup.
