''Lunar Lander'' is a 1980 video game published by Adventure International. Gameplay ''Lunar Lander'' is a game in which the player must land a ship on the Moon, in the style of other ''Lunar Lander'' games. This game was part of a series of arcade game clones for the TRS-80 and Atari 8-bit computers. Though not exactly the same as the Atari, Inc. version of ''Lunar Lander'', it was advertised as "an arcade game simulation". Reception Richard McGrath reviewed the game for ''Computer Gaming World'', and stated that "I have no real complaints. Adventure International has a winning program here. It is just as advertised--a quality version of an old standby." Adventure International was an American video game publisher, video game publishing company that existed from 1979 until 1986. It was started by Scott Adams (game designer), Scott and Alexis Adams. ''ANALOG Computing'' was an American computer magazine devoted to Atari 8-bit computers. It was published from 1981 until 1989. In addition to reviews and tutorials, ''ANALOG'' printed multiple programs in each issue for users to type in. Almost every issue included a machine language video game—as opposed to Atari BASIC—which were uncommon in competing magazines. Such games were accompanied by the assembly language source code. ''ANALOG'' also sold commercial games, two books of type-in software, and access to a custom bulletin-board system. ''SoftSide'' is a defunct computer magazine, begun in October 1978 by Roger Robitaille and published by SoftSide Publications of Milford, New Hampshire. History Dedicated to personal computer programming, ''SoftSide'' was a unique publication with articles and line-by-line program listings that users manually keyed in. The TRS-80 edition was first, launched in 1978.
