Luna (Serbian Group)
Luna () is a popular pop group from Serbia with considerable popularity throughout the former Yugoslavia. The key group member is multi-instrumentalist and composer Čeda Čvorak (born Čedomir Rajičić). They released ten studio albums. Luna have been recording albums since the late 1990s, and popular songs have included ''Drugarice'' (''Girlfriend'') with Svetlana Ražnatović (Ceca), and more recently ''Ne ostavljaj me'' (''Don't leave me''), featuring Gloria from Bulgaria (one of a number of songs sung in Bulgarian and Serbian). The song was originally released by Luna in 1999 and sounds like the Sisters Of Mercy's song " This Corrosion". The first and best known lead singer was Serbian female singer Maja Marković, who stayed in the group from 1997. She left the group in 2006 and was replaced by the studied ballerina Kristina Čanković, who was the lead singer from 2007 to 2009. Svetlana Ražnatović
Svetlana Ražnatović (; sr-cyr, Светлана Ражнатовић, ; ; born 14 June 1973), better known as Ceca ( sr-cyr, Цеца, links=no, ), is a Serbian singer. Dubbed the " Serbian Mother" (""), she made her recording debut in 1988 and has collectively released sixteen studio albums. She is recognized the most commercially successful Serbian artists of all time with collective sales of seven million records. Furthermore, with 150,000 attendees, her 2013 concert in Ušće, Belgrade was one of the highest-attended concerts in the world. Galina Peneva Ivanova (), born 28 June 1973), known professionally as Gloria (), is a Bulgarian singer, sometimes referred to as the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Prima of Bulgarian pop-folk music". The Sisters Of Mercy
The Sisters of Mercy are an English rock band formed in Leeds in 1980. After achieving early underground fame, the band experienced a commercial breakthrough in the mid-1980s, sustaining their success until the early 1990s, when they halted the release of new records in protest against their record company, WEA. Currently, although the band operates primarily as a touring outfit, they continue to perform new and unreleased music live. The group has released three original studio albums: '' First and Last and Always'' (1985), '' Floodland'' (1987), and '' Vision Thing'' (1990). Each album was recorded by a different line-up; singer-songwriter Andrew Eldritch and the drum machine known as Doktor Avalanche are the only constant elements throughout. This Corrosion
"This Corrosion" is a song by the English rock band the Sisters of Mercy, released as the lead single from their second studio album, '' Floodland'' (1987), in September 1987. The song peaked at number 6 in Ireland, number 7 in the UK, and number 17 in Germany. Composition "This Corrosion" was written by Andrew Eldritch and produced by Jim Steinman, and is one of the band's most well-known songs. It uses a 40-piece choir, and the LP version of the song lasts for nearly 11 minutes (with the myriad of single versions all substantially shorter.) Eldritch's lyrics concern his previous band members leaving the Sisters of Mercy to form the gothic rock band the Mission. The latter's lead vocalist, Wayne Hussey, was once a guitarist for the Sisters of Mercy. Halid Bešlić
Halid Bešlić (; born 20 November 1953) is a Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian folk music, folk singer and musician who has been performing professionally since 1979. Bešlić's singing career was one of the most successful in SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia, and continues today throughout the entire Balkans, Balkan region. Early life Bešlić was born in the Knežina, Sokolac, Knežina village near Sokolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, while it was part of Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, FPR Yugoslavia.
