''Luminous Arc 2'' is a tactical role-playing game developed by Imageepoch for the Nintendo DS, and published by Marvelous Entertainment in Japan on May 15, 2008, and by Atlus USA and Rising Star Games in North America and the PAL region respectively. It is the second game in the ''Luminous Arc'' series. Gameplay ''Luminous Arc 2'' is a strategy role-playing game in which characters move across an Isometric projection, isometric grid. Each character can be equipped with weapons, armor, items, and magical "Lapis" gemstones. Characters learn special skills by Experience level, leveling up and are able to use a "Flash Drive" Fighting game#Special attacks and combos, special attack upon attacking or defeating enemies. When a character's hit points reach zero, they are removed from battle, but can be revived. Imageepoch
was a video game developer based in Tokyo, Japan. The company was filed for bankruptcy in 2015, due to its declining sales and increasing debt. History The company was founded in June 2005 by Ryoei Mikage. Their first release was the tactical role-playing game on Nintendo DS, ''Luminous Arc''. In April 2015, Gematsu reported that Idea Factory's Yoshiteru Sato shared that he was unable to reach Mikage privately and confirming that the Imageepoch CEO had gone missing. In the same article, Ryoei Mikage's Twitter account was noted as being inactive publicly for months. The following month, Imageepoch was confirmed to have gone bankrupt. Imageepoch closed their doors and reopened as Mikage LLC.
