Luke Strand
Luke Strand is the current head ice hockey coach of the Minnesota State men's ice hockey team. Career While he was born in the Philippines, Strand grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After graduating from North High School in 1991, Strand joined the North Iowa Huskies to continue his junior career. His numbers with the club were solid but unremarkable. He was, however, able to earn a place on the varsity team at Wisconsin–Eau Claire. After a bad season during his freshman year, Strand was able to help the Blugolds post a winning season as a sophomore. His numbers remained consistent as an upperclassman, however, the team declined and ended with losing records in his final two years. After graduating with a degree in Kinesiology, Strand continued his playing career with the Madison Monsters, a UHL team. Minnesota State Mavericks Men's Ice Hockey
The Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I college ice hockey program that represents Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Mavericks compete in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). Their home arena is the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center located in downtown Mankato, Minnesota. History The Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey team commenced play as a varsity sport in 1969-70. Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Ice Hockey
The Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I college ice hockey program that represents Ohio State University. The Buckeyes are a member of the Big Ten Conference. They play at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. History The Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey program began in 1963, the team played at the new Ohio State Ice Rink, constructed in 1961. The Buckeyes were a founding member of the CCHA in 1971. The Buckeyes won the inaugural 1972 CCHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament with a 3–0 win over Saint Louis University. Mike Eaves
Michael Gordon Eaves (born June 10, 1956) is an American former National Hockey League (NHL) player and the former head coach of the St. Olaf College men's hockey team and for his alma mater the University of Wisconsin, where he was part of two NCAA National Championship teams with the Badgers (as a player in 1977, and as head coach in 2006). In 2019, he was named the head coach of the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL), a role he held until 2022. Eaves appeared in 324 NHL regular-season games between 1978 and 1985, and has coached since 1985. 2021–22 USHL Season
The 2021–22 USHL season was the 43rd season of the United States Hockey League as an all-junior league. The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Madison Capitols returned from their hiatus for this season. The RoughRiders' absence was due to derecho damage to ImOn Ice Arena, while the Capitols was caused by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in Madison, Wisconsin. United States Hockey League
The United States Hockey League (USHL) is the top junior ice hockey league sanctioned by USA Hockey. The league consists of 16 active teams located in the midwestern United States, for players between the ages of 16 and 21. The USHL is strictly amateur, allowing former players to compete in NCAA college hockey. The United Hockey League (UHL), originally known as the Colonial Hockey League from 1991 to 1997 and last known as the International Hockey League from 2007 to 2010, was a low-level minor league, minor professional ice hockey league, with teams in the United States and Canada.
