Luke Robinson (''c.'' 1610–1669), of Riseborough, was an English Member of Parliament and of the English Council of State, Council of State during the English Commonwealth, Commonwealth period. Robinson was the eldest son of Sir Arthur Robinson of Deighton, Northallerton, Yorkshire and his first wife Elizabeth Walthall, daughter of William Walthall mercer of London. He was baptised on 6 September 1610. He was educated at Shenley, Hertfordshire, Aughton, Yorkshire and St Peter's School, York, St Peter's, York before attending Christ's College, Cambridge in 1627. He was a student of Gray's Inn in 1630. Robinson was elected MP for Scarborough (UK Parliament constituency), Scarborough in 1645, taking the place of a member who had been expelled for his Cavaliers, Royalist sympathies, and sat for the town through the remainder of the Long Parliament, being an active member of the Rump Parliament, Rump after Pride's Purge, and also served as Bailiff of Scarborough, North Yorksh ... Luke Robinson (died 1773)
Luke Robinson (died 1773) was an English barrister and politician. He was the third son of Charles Robinson of Kingston upon Hull. He was educated at Gray's Inn, where he was called to the bar in 1722, and became a bencher in 1743. He was elected at the 1741 general election as one of the two Members of Parliament (MPs) for Hedon. The defeated MP Harry Pulteney had him unseated on petition, and convicted of bribery at the York assizes. Robisnson contested Hedon unsuccessfully at two subsequent by-elections, but his petition after the 1746 by-election was upheld, and he was awarded the seat in early 1747. Luke Barry Robinson (born January 13, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. Professional wrestling career Early career At the age of fifteen, Robinson and his friends would put on shows in Robinson's basement with strobe lights, and even had a work belt that they used as a championship belt. Robinson claims the wrestling shows were his and his friend's "dirty little secret". Robinson began his professional training while working out at a gym where WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas was personal training. Atlas at first ignored Robinson's request to be trained until the owner of the gym, which was Robinson's cousin, convinced Atlas to train Robinson. Luke Robinson (born 20 October 1998) is a Bermudian footballer who plays as a forward for Whitehawk and for the Bermuda national team. Robinson originally moved to England at the age 7.
