Luke Heeney
Luke Heeney (born 6 February 1999) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or right back for League of Ireland Premier Division club Drogheda United. He previously played for St Patrick's Athletic. Career Youth career Bellewstown, County Meath native Heeney began playing with St Kevin's Boys, before joining the academy of League of Ireland club St Patrick's Athletic in 2015, playing for their under-17 side for two seasons before going on to play for their under-19 side for a further two seasons. St Patrick's Athletic Heeney made his first team debut on 5 October 2018, replacing Jake Keegan from the bench in the 91st minute of a 1–1 draw away to Dundalk at Oriel Park in what proved to be his only senior appearance for the club. Bellewstown
Bellewstown () is a townland and village located 8 km south of Drogheda, on the Hill of Crockafotha in County Meath in Ireland. Bellewstown townland, which is in the electoral division of Ardcath and the civil parish of Duleek, had a population of 499 as of the 2011 census. It takes its name from the Anglo-Irish Bellew family, who were the dominant local landowners from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century. History Built heritage Evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes a number of cist, standing stone, ring ditch and ringfort sites in the townlands of Bellewstown, Collierstown and Hilltown. Sullivan and Lambe Park, also known as United Park, and formerly O2 Park, Hunky Dorys Park, Head In The Game Park and Weavers Park for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Drogheda, Ireland. The ground has been home to League of Ireland side Drogheda United since 1979. It was officially opened on 12 August 1979 with a friendly against Queens Park Rangers. The ground has a capacity of 3,500 with 1,500 seats. The stadium used to hold 5,400 though the safe capacity was reduced on request by the Louth County Fire Officer. Kevin Doherty (footballer)
Kevin Doherty (born 18 April 1980) is an Irish association football coach and former professional player who is the manager of League of Ireland Premier Division club Drogheda United. He was the manager of Shelbourne from December 2014 until June 2016. As a player Doherty was a powerful centre-back, who was named FAI School's International Player of the Year in 1998. He was transferred from Home Farm Everton to Liverpool FC in the same year and played for the Premier League club's youth and reserve teams, as well as for the Republic of Ireland under-18 team. A broken femur suffered at the end of his first season with Liverpool was the first of several injuries which beset Doherty throughout his playing career.
