Luke Green (soccer)
Luke Green (born December 12, 2002) is a Canadian professional soccer player, who currently plays for Simcoe County Rovers FC in League1 Ontario. Early life Green grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and played youth soccer for local club Suburban FC. University career In 2021, he began playing attending St. Francis Xavier University, playing university soccer for the men's team. In 2023, he was named an AUS Second Team All-Star. In 2024, he was named an AUS First Team All-Star. Club career In February 2019, Green was invited to the training camp for Canadian Premier League side HFX Wanderers. On 31 July 2020, Green signed a developmental contract with the Wanderers. He made his debut on September 15 against Pacific FC. He was later invited again to participate in their 2022 training camp. Luke Green (born January 12, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for HK Nitra of the Slovak Extraliga. He was drafted in the third round, 79nd overall, by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2016 NHL entry draft. He was the first overall pick in the 2014 QMJHL Entry draft. Playing career Junior Green was selected first overall in the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Saint John Sea Dogs. He finished his rookie season with 36 points, which ranked him second among rookie defensemen. On December 26, 2016, he was traded to the Sherbrooke Phoenix in exchange for Sherbrooke’s 2018 first-round selection along with second-round picks in 2018 and 2020.
