Luke Davies
Luke Davies (born 1962) is an Australian writer of poetry, novels and screenplays. His best known works are '' Candy: A Novel of Love and Addiction'' (which was adapted for the screen in 2006) and the screenplay for the film ''Lion'', which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Davies also co-wrote the screenplay for the film ''News of the World.'' Jesse Alan Baird (4 September 1997 – 19 February 2024) was an Australian television presenter and Australian rules football goal umpire. Baird worked as a presenter and reporter on various Network 10 programs, including ''Totally Wild'', '' Gamify'' and ''Studio 10''. He officiated 62 matches as an Australian Football League umpire, including two finals. Early life Baird was born in Melbourne, where he grew up in the north-eastern suburbs. He graduated from Loyola College in 2015, then achieved a Bachelor of Education degree from La Trobe University in 2019, majoring in drama and media. Luke Davies is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a scrum-half for the Ospreys. Davies previously played for the Scarlets and Jersey Reds. Club career Scarlets and Llanelli Davies was named in the Scarlets squad for the 2021–22 season. He made his debut for the Scarlets in Round 5 of the 2021–22 United Rugby Championship against . Davies was not listed in the squad for the 2022–23 season, and instead played for Llanelli RFC. Jersey In March 2023, Davies joined Jersey Reds as short term injury cover.
