Lukas Nerurkar
Lukas Nerurkar (born 14 November 2003) is a British professional cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Early life Nerurkar grew up in Ethiopia before moving to Sussex in England. His godfather is Haile Gebrselassie. He took part in long distance running events until he was sixteen years-old. He attended Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Hove. He lives in Brighton, England, and in Andorra. Career As a junior rider, Nerurkar finished fourth overall in the Junior Tour of Wales and won a stage of the Junior Tour of Yorkshire. He was announced as joining in December 2021. Trinity Racing (2022–2023) In February 2023, Nerurkar won the young rider classification as he finished sixth behind winner Jonas Vingegaard at the O Gran Camiño stage race in Spain. Junior Tour Of Wales
The Junior Tour of Wales is an annual cycle race for junior male riders, held around Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, Wales. First held in 1981, the race is the final round of the British Cycling Junior Road Series – and as such attracts the best junior racing cyclists from across the UK, as well as elite international junior teams from across Europe and beyond. From 1981 until 1993 the race consisted of three stages held over two days. In 1993 it was expanded to three days and held on the August Bank Holiday for the first time. In 2017 it switched to a four-day format. In recent years the race's final stage has finished on the Tumble: this climb often decides the winner of the race. Steve Jones and Eddie Smart were regular helpers at the Junior Tour of Wales. Vuelta A Mallorca
The Challenge Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca ( en, Tour of Majorca, ca, Challenge Volta Ciclista a Mallorca) is a series of four (five until 2012) professional one day road bicycle races held on the Spanish island of Mallorca in late January or early February. The event is used as an early season preparatory event by many of the top teams in readiness for the bigger races later in the season. The five races are ranked 1.1 on the UCI Europe Tour. Although the race styles itself as the "Tour of Majorca" it has never been allowed to be classed as a multi day stage race by the sports governing body the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) because the race rules allows riders not to participate on certain days if they don't want to. The 2024 Eschborn–Frankfurt was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 1 May in the Frankfurt Rhein-Main metro area in southwest Germany. It was the 61st edition of Eschborn–Frankfurt and the 21st event of the 2024 UCI World Tour. It was won by Maxim Van Gils in a bunch sprint. Beaumont Trophy
The Beaumont Trophy is a cycle road race first run in 1952. The Trophy was presented to the Gosforth Road Club by Rex Beaumont who was a local cycle wholesaler on Tyneside. The Gosforth Road Club had been created in July 1951 as an offshoot of the Ridley Cycling Club as a result of young riders being unable to gain entry into local races. The race was run under BLRC Regulations from 1952 until 1959 when it came under the regulations of the newly formed British Cycling Federation. It was run continuously from 1952 to 2019, as the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK. This 67 year streak made it the longest-running road race in the UK.
