Jastrebarsko
Jastrebarsko (; ), colloquially known as Jaska, is a town in Zagreb County, Croatia. History Antiquity In 1865, remnants of a Roman settlement were uncovered in Repišće, Klinča Sela, a village in Jastrebarsko metropolitan area. Further archeology, archeological investigation in the late 20th century classified them as a villa rustica and a necropolis consisting of six tumulus, tumuli, both dating to the early Roman Empire period. The remnants are deemed to be the westernmost group of Noricum, Noric-Pannonian tumuli and they make a very rare occasion of tombstones located directly on top of tumuli, which is in the rest of Croatia recorded only in Donji Čehi. The location of this archeological site on the fluvial terraces of the local Konjava stream is attributed to the peaceful state of the central Roman Empire, which in turn led to formation of settlements in river valleys. Ozalj
Ozalj is a town in central Croatia, located north of Karlovac and southwest of Jastrebarsko, on the Kupa River. It is close to Žumberak/Gorjanci, Žumberak in the north and the border with Slovenia in the northwest, with Metlika being the closest Slovenian town. History The town was built on a cliff over the Kupa river and the first mention of it dates from 1244, as a free royal town. The Frankopan family owned it since 1398, then it passed to the Zrinski family in 1550, and it stayed theirs until 1671. The city commemorates 30 April as its day, in memory of the event in 1671 when Petar Zrinski and Fran Krsto Frankopan were executed. Rečica, Croatia
Rečica is a village in Croatia located east of Karlovac, with a population of 538 (2011). Rečica is a lowland village made up of seven smaller villages. It is settled in the region of Donje Pokuplje on the left bank of river Kupa, about ten kilometers from Karlovac. During the 17th and the 18th century, Rečica was an important traffic locality because it was a place of cargo (mainly grain) discharge during the low water level of Kupa. Farming is still one of the main industries along with wine growing and livestock breeding. The first mention of Rečica in official documents was in the 15th century, as a separate manorial estate gathered around a wooden palace which was an aristocratic manor in Rečica. The most important cultural and historical monument of Rečica and its surroundings is the Drašković castle, a remnant of a much bigger seigniory.
