Luka Drašković (born 1995) is a Montenegrin chess player. He was awarded the title of International Master in 2014 and the title of Grandmaster in 2022. Chess career Drašković won the Montenegrin Chess Championship in 2021 and qualified for the Chess World Cup 2021, where he was defeated 2-0 by Aleksandar Inđić in the first round. Grandmaster (GM) is a Chess title, title awarded to chess players by the world chess organization FIDE. Apart from World Chess Championship, World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain. Once achieved, the title is held for life, though exceptionally the title can be revoked for Cheating in chess, cheating. International Master
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Titles generally require a combination of Elo rating and norms (performance benchmarks in competitions including other titled players). Chess World Cup 2021
The Chess World Cup 2021 was a 206-player single-elimination chess tournament that took place in Sochi, Russia, beginning 12 July and ending 6 August 2021. It was the 9th edition of the Chess World Cup. The winner of this tournament was the Polish grandmaster Jan-Krzysztof Duda, who won without losing any games either in classical chess or in the rapid tiebreakers. The two finalists (Duda and Sergey Karjakin) qualified for the Candidates Tournament 2022. The rest of the final eight, except Magnus Carlsen, qualified for the FIDE Grand Prix 2022. Aleksandar Inđić (born 24 August 1995) is a Serbian chess grandmaster. He is a four-time Serbian Chess Champion and the 2024 European Chess Champion. Chess career Born in 1995, Inđić earned his international master title in 2012 and his grandmaster title in 2013. He won the Serbian Chess Championship in 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023. The Chess Olympiad is a biennial chess tournament in which teams representing nations of the world compete. FIDE organises the tournament and selects the host nation. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, FIDE held an Online Chess Olympiad in FIDE Online Chess Olympiad 2020, 2020 and FIDE Online Chess Olympiad 2021, 2021, with a rapid time control that affected players' online ratings.
