Luka (Prague Metro)
Luka is a Prague Metro station on Line B. The station was open on 11 November 1994 as part of the extension of Line B from Nové Butovice to Zličín. It is located at ''Mukařovského'' street in the suburb of Stodůlky. Luka is a surface type station with an island platform and one staircase exit. The name, which literally means '' Meadows'', is shared with the surrounding housing estate. Bus Stop
A bus stop is a place where buses stop for passengers to get on and off the bus. The construction of bus stops tends to reflect the level of usage, where stops at busy locations may have shelters, seating, and possibly electronic passenger information systems; less busy stops may use a simple pole and flag to mark the location. Meadow
A meadow ( ) is an open habitat, or field, vegetated by grasses, herbs, and other non- woody plants. Trees or shrubs may sparsely populate meadows, as long as these areas maintain an open character. Meadows may be naturally occurring or artificially created from cleared shrub or woodland. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. An alternative arrangement is to position side platforms on either side of the tracks. The historical use of island platforms depends greatly upon the location. Stodůlky
Stodůlky, , is a cadastral area (''katastrální území'') in Prague, Czech Republic. Originally a village (first written mention of which dates from 1159), later municipality (since 1849), it remained a predominantly agricultural settlement until the 1960s. Stodůlky became part of Prague in 1974 and the large housing estate of Jihozápadní Město gradually arose on fields in vicinity of the old village in the late 1970s through mid-1990s. Nowadays Stodůlky covers an area of and has over 60 thousand inhabitants (these figures account for approximately 1/50 of territory and 1/40 of Greater Prague population). Západní Město, a western extension of the built-up area is currently (as of 2011) under construction. Zličín (Prague Metro)
Zličín () is a Prague Metro station and terminus of Line B, located in Třebonice, Prague 17. The station was opened on 11 November 1994 as the western terminus of the extension of Line B from Nové Butovice. Zličín metro station gives direct pedestrian access to the 2004 constructed Metropole shopping mall, and has zero-fare bus links to the nearby Globus, Tesco and Ikea hypermarkets. The station's metro lines feed into a large shed with direct rail connections to the adjacent former Siemens train and tram factory which was closed in 2009. Zličín metro station is located next to a junction between the Prague ring road and the D5 motorway and offers direct connections with local, regional and national buses, both public transport and commercial Student Agency Express buses.
