Luizão Maia
Luiz de Oliveira da Costa Maia (April 3, 1949 – January 28, 2005) is widely acknowledged as the father of the modern Brazilian bass. His unparalleled sense of rhythm and deep subwoofer-like tone stirred the sauce behind the classic recordings of Elis Regina, João Bosco, Tom Jobim, Djavan and Chico Buarque. He was the uncle of Arthur Maia. Maia began playing music, starting with the guitar, at age thirteen, and then progressed to the double bass. Luiz Antonio Ribeiro, better known as Luizão (Sâo Paulo, 22 October 1968), is a football manager and a former Brazilian footballer who used to play as a midfielder. Career During the 1990s he played for several traditional Brazilian clubs such as C.A Juventus, Cruzeiro, Portuguesa, A.D. São Caetano, Comercial-RP and Vila Nova. After finishing his career as a football player, he started a career as a football coach. Luizão (footballer, Born 1975)
Luiz Carlos Bombonato Goulart, known as Luizão (born 14 November 1975), is a Brazilian football pundit and retired footballer, who played as a forward. He was capped 12 times by Brazil, scoring two goals in the last game of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Qualification vs Venezuela, a 3–0 Brazilian victory. This victory classified Brazil to the World Cup and confirmed Luizão as part of the victorious squad coached by Luiz Felipe Scolari, conquering the fifth world title for Brazil. Career Luizão was born in Rubinéia. He is one of the few players, alongside Antônio Carlos, Müller, Neto and César Sampaio that played for the four major clubs of São Paulo: Santos Futebol Clube, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and São Paulo Futebol Clube.
