Luisa Sello
Luisa Sello is an Italian classical flautist and teacher. Biography Luisa Sello was born in Udine. She completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Italy and Paris where she studied flute as well as Contemporary and Baroque performance practice. She has studied in Paris with Raymond Guiot, at the Accademia Chigiana with Severino Gazzelloni, and at the Académie Internationale of Nice with Alain Marion. She has graduated also in Languages and in Modern Literature. She spent a brief period of orchestral experience and collaboration with the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala of Milan under the direction of Riccardo Muti. Udine ( , ; fur, Udin; la, Utinum) is a city and ''comune'' in north-eastern Italy, in the middle of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps (''Alpi Carniche''). Giacinto Scelsi
Giacinto Francesco Maria Scelsi (; 8 January 1905 – 9 August 1988, sometimes cited as 8 August 1988) was an Italian composer who also wrote surrealist poetry in French. He is best known for having composed music based around only one pitch, altered in all manners through microtonal oscillations, harmonic allusions, and changes in timbre and dynamics, as paradigmatically exemplified in his ''Quattro pezzi su una nota sola'' ("Four Pieces on a single note", 1959). This composition remains his most famous work and one of the few performed to significant recognition during his lifetime. Salvatore Sciarrino (born 4 April 1947) is an Italian composer of contemporary classical music. Described as "the best-known and most performed Italian composer" of the present day, his works include ''Quaderno di strada'' (2003) and ''La porta della legge'' (2006–08). Biography A native of Palermo, the young Sciarrino was attracted to the visual arts, but began experimenting with music when he was twelve. Though he had some lessons from Antonino Titone and Turi Belfiore, he is primarily self-taught as a composer. After his classical studies and a few years of university in his home city, in 1969 he moved to Rome, where he attended Franco Evangelisti's course in electronic music at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Josef Anton Riedl
Josef Anton Riedl (11 June 1929 – 25 March 2016) was a German composer. Biography Riedl was born in Munich in 1929 (1927 is also given as his year of birth). Following a period of studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and in courses given by Hermann Scherchen in Gravesano, Riedl, influenced by Carl Orff and Edgar Varèse, devoted himself as a composer particularly to percussion and ''Lautgedichte'' (sound poetry). In 1950 he was co-founder of the German Section of the Jeunesses Musicales, together with Herbert Barth, Reiner Bredemeyer and Eckhart Rolfs. Starting in 1952 he did pioneering work in the use of concrete and electronic sounds, joining Pierre Schaefer’s Groupe de Recherche Musicale in 1953.
