Luis Argudo
Luis Alejandro Argudo (born December 13, 1995) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the New York Pancyprian-Freedoms. He previously appeared at the semi-professional level for Carolina Dynamo, played professionally with Columbus Crew SC, Inter Miami, Norrby IF, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds, and spent time on loan with Hartford Athletic. Argudo was born in New York City and attended Francis Lewis High School in Queens. He played two collegiate seasons at Elon University before transferring and playing his final two seasons at Wake Forest University, finishing as national runner-up with the Demon Deacons in 2016. He also appeared during the collegiate off-season with Carolina Dynamo. Columbus Crew SC drafted Argudo in the third round of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft; he eventually signed for the club almost two months later. Paul Riley (footballer)
Paul Riley (born 23 September 1963) is an English former football player and coach. He spent his entire professional playing career in American leagues, including the American Professional Soccer League and the USISL. He has been a coach, mostly of women's teams, since the 1990s. In 2021, he was accused of sexual misconduct and mistreatment of players that spanned over a 10-year coaching period in the National Women's Soccer League and its predecessors. The Elon Phoenix is the official mascot of Elon University, located in Elon, North Carolina. It is the name that each of the sports teams at the university are referred to. The university is a member of the Coastal Athletic Association and that league's technically separate football arm of CAA Football. Elon competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision, fielding 17 varsity teams in 11 sports. The 2018 MLS SuperDraft was the nineteenth SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. As customary, the SuperDraft was held in conjunction with the annual United Soccer Coaches convention.
