Ludovic Tézier
Ludovic Tézier (born 1968 in Marseille) is a French operatic baritone. Biography Ludovic Tézier trained at the Paris Opéra’s École d’Art lyrique and at the Centre National d’Artistes Lyriques. He was a prize winner at Operalia, The World Opera Competition in 1998. He made his debut with the Lucerne Opera and then joined Opéra National de Lyon where he sang the title role in Mozart's ''Don Giovanni'' and the Count in the same composer's ''Le Nozze di Figaro'', as well as in Donizetti's ''Don Pasquale'' and '' L'Elisir d'Amore''. Tézier has appeared at many of the world's opera houses in a repertoire including works by Verdi, Wagner, Massenet, and Puccini. He has given solo recitals and appeared in concerts in Vienna, Strasbourg, Paris and other cities and has made numerous recordings and DVDs of operas and other musical works. Melanie Diener (born in 1967) is a German operatic and concert soprano who appeared at major European opera houses and festivals. She appeared as Elsa in Wagner's '' Lohengrin'' at the Bayreuth Festival, among others. Career Diener was born in Schenefeld near Hamburg. She grew up in Stuttgart, where she first studied music pedagogy and piano. She then studied voice at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart with Sylvia Geszty, and with Rudolf Piernay in Mannheim. Diener won prizes at international competitions such as the and the Queen Sonja International Music Competition. She made her debut in concert in Mendelssohn's oratorio '' Paulus'' in 1995. London Philharmonic Orchestra
The London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) is a British orchestra based in London. One of five permanent symphony orchestras in London, the LPO was founded by the conductors Thomas Beecham, Sir Thomas Beecham and Malcolm Sargent in 1932 as a rival to the existing London Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony and BBC Symphony Orchestras. The founders' ambition was to build an orchestra the equal of any European or American rival. Between 1932 and the Second World War the LPO was widely judged to have succeeded in this regard. David Parry (born 23 March 1949) is an English conductor who is particularly known for his work in opera. Described as "a man of the theatre with whom directors love to work; he is good with singers; he knows the British opera world like the back of his hand. He is a controversial and outspoken defender of the operatic form, and a passionate advocate of opera in English", his work includes a large discography of complete opera recordings of rarely performed works made on the Opera Rara and Chandos record labels, as well as works recorded with well-known British and European orchestras. Carmen Giannattasio (born 24 April 1975 in Avellino) is an Italian operatic soprano. She studied at the Conservatoire Domenico Cimarosa of Avellino and simultaneously at the University of Salerno (degree in Russian and English Literatures). Covent Garden is a district in London, on the eastern fringes of the West End, between St Martin's Lane and Drury Lane. Marco Armiliato (born 1967) is an Italian opera conductor. Born in Genoa, Italy, he graduated in piano from the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory in Genoa. After working for a few years as a piano master in several opera houses, he debuted as a conductor in 1989 in Lima, with Gaetano Donizetti's opera ''L'elisir d'amore''. SWR Symphony Orchestra
The SWR Symphonieorchester (SWR Symphony Orchestra) is a radio orchestra affiliated with the ''Südwestrundfunk'' (Southwest German Radio) public broadcasting network.
