Dontavian “Lucky” Jackson (born July 17, 1997) is an American football wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Western Kentucky, and has also played for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the DC Defenders of the XFL. College career After being ranked a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, Jackson committed to Western Kentucky to play college football. After redshirting as a freshman in 2015, Jackson had 26 catches for 395 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the year in 2016. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football program represents Middle Tennessee State University in the sport of American football. The Blue Raiders compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the East Division of Conference USA (CUSA). In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. The 2023 XFL Draft, is the player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL, and the second draft in that league's history following the 2020 draft. The draft was held on November 15–17, 2022, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL 2023 draft pool consists of 1,700 players that are eligible. Of those, 528 players will advance to the preseason rosters. The Spring League
The Spring League was an American football developmental league and scouting event (pro showcase) that played from 2017 to 2021 and was founded by Brian Woods. Aimed at professional athletes but not paying a salary or expenses, the league's goal was to "serve as an instructional league and showcase for professional football talent". The Spring League was the second football property to be established by Woods, following the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) from 2014 to 2015 and preceding the United States Football League revival in 2022.
