Luciano Albertini
Luciano Albertini (30 November 1882 – 6 January 1945) was an Italian actor, film producer, and film director. After initially appearing in Italian films, he moved to Germany following the First World War. In 1921, he founded a production company Albertini-Film in partnership with Ernst Hugo Correll. During the Weimar era he appeared in a number of silent thriller and adventure films. He starred in films with his wife Linda Albertini. Lugo, Emilia-Romagna
Lugo () is a town and ''comune'' in the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, in the province of Ravenna. History A settlement in where the city is now is mentioned for the first time in 782 AD, but the names Lucus appears only in 1071. In 1161 it was a fief of the Counts of Cunio, but in 1202 it returned to the Papal States. It was later a possession of the da Polenta, Pepoli, Visconti and Este; the latter maintained it until 1597, when the city was again annexed to the Papal States. In 1424 the Castle of Zagonara (now destroyed) was the seat of the homonymous battle, in which a Milanese army defeated the Florentines. ''Arsenal'' (; ; alternate title: ''January Uprising in Kiev in 1918'') is a 1929 silent Soviet drama film by Alexander Dovzhenko. The film depicts events following the 1917 October Revolution in Russia and the subsequent Russian Civil War, and is a highly symbolic and poetic portrayal of the revolutionary spirit and the struggle for power. The film was shot at Odessa Film Factory of VUFKU by cameraman Danyl Demutskyi and used original sets made by Volodymyr Muller. The expressionist imagery, camera work and original drama were said to take the film far beyond the usual propaganda and made it one of the most important pieces of Ukrainian avant-garde cinema.
