Lucheng Station
Lucheng station ( zh, c=潞城站 , p=Lùchéng zhàn) is a station and the eastern terminus of the Line 6 of the Beijing Subway. It is the easternmost station in the Beijing Subway, before the opening of Southern extension of Line 6 to Luyang (open in late 2025) and Line 22 (Dingfuzhuang to Pinggu section open in 2026). History The construction of this station began on September 20, 2012, and was completed in 2014. Location This station is located in the Lucheng town in Tongzhou District, Beijing, after which it is named. It is only away from the border with Hebei province, specifically, the Yanjiao town in Sanhe, in the Northern Three Counties exclave. The east end of Lucheng station connects to Dongxiaoying depot. Lucheng Town () is a town of Tongzhou District in the eastern suburbs of Beijing, located east of Tiananmen Square. It borders Songzhuang Town to the north, Chaobai River to the east, Xiji and Zhangjiawan Towns to the south, Yongshun Town, Luyuan and Luyi Subdistricts to the west. Tongzhou is a district of Beijing. It is located in southeast Beijing and considered the eastern gateway to the nation's capital. An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are sometimes used between the opposite-direction tracks on twin-track route stations as they are cheaper and occupy less area than other arrangements. Line 6, Beijing Subway
Line 6 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit line in Beijing. The line runs from Jin'anqiao in Shijingshan District to Lucheng in Tongzhou District. It serves important residential areas such as Changying, Chaoqing, and Dingfuzhuang, in addition to important commercial and business areas such as Financial Street, Beijing CBD and the sub-administrative center in Tongzhou District. Like Line 7, Line 6 provides relief to the parallel Line 1, which is the second most used subway line in Beijing, after Line 10.
