Patrick Joseph Lucey (March 21, 1918 – May 10, 2014) was an American politician. A member of the United States Democratic Party, Democratic Party, he served as the 38th governor of Wisconsin from 1971 to 1977. He was also independent presidential candidate John B. Anderson's running mate in the 1980 United States presidential election, 1980 presidential election. Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Lucey served in state and local government offices after graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, University of Wisconsin. He served in the Quartermaster Corps (United States Army), Quartermaster Corps of the United States Army during World War II. He held the position of Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin from 1965 to 1967 and unsuccessfully challenged Governor Warren P. Knowles in the 1966 gubernatorial election. Harry Lucey (November 13, 1913 – August 28, 1984) was an American comic artist best known for his work in MLJ Comics, MLJ and Archie Comics. He was the primary artist on ''Archie'', the company's flagship title, from the late 1950s through the mid-1970s. Lucey, who graduated from the Pratt Institute in 1935, worked on both adventure and humor titles for MLJ, including acting as the regular artist on ''Hangman Comics, The Hangman'', before being drafted into the United States Army. After being discharged, he spent several years working in advertising. In 1949, he rejoined MLJ, which by that time had changed its name to Archie Comics. Though he continued to draw action and romance comics for the company, including the hard-boiled mystery ''Sam Hill, Private Eye'', his primary work was on their popular teen humor titles. Lucey Jr. (born November 13, 1937) was a Branch Chief at the U.S. Army Harry Diamond Laboratories who also served the U.S. Army Materiel Command as the Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) Thrust Area Manager for Soldering Technology. Dorothy Lucey (born November 19, 1958) is an American entertainment reporter who formerly co-hosted '' Good Day L.A.'', the morning news program on Los Angeles Fox affiliate KTTV for 17 years. She was an on-air reporter for WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania and WABC-TV in New York City (including a stint alongside Regis Philbin), and later joined NBC Sports. Cornelius "Con" Lucey (1902–1982) was a Roman Catholic bishop of Cork and Ross. Youth and education Cornelius Lucey was born 15 July 1902 into a farming family at Windsor, Ovens, County Cork near Cork City. He attended Ballinora Primary School and played for the local GAA club. He studied at St Finbarr's College, Farranferris, the diocesan college.
