Lucavsala
Lucavsala is an island located on the Daugava River in Riga, Latvia. It has a population of 98. Location and geography Lucavsala is part of the Zemgale Suburb of Riga and the Salas neighborhood. It is located on the Daugava River, near Zaķusala Island, home of the Riga Radio and TV Tower. The Salu Bridge connects Lucavsala to the rest of Riga. Lucavsala features one street (Lucavsalas iela), thirteen private houses, and over six hundred small gardens. There are plans to build an ice hockey hall on Lucavsala. Other features of Lucavsala include a monument for Russian soldiers who died during Crossing of the Düna during the Great Northern War, a swimming pool, and a wakepark. Salas, Riga
Salas ('Islands' in Latvian) is a neighbourhood of Riga, the capital of Latvia. Its landmass consists entirely of the islands Zaķusala, Lucavsala, and Kazas sēklis ('Goat Sandbank'). It is the least populated neighbourhood of Riga with a population of just around 70-80 people. Crossing Of The Düna
The Crossing of the Düna (also known as Battle of Daugava or Battle of Spilves) took place during the Great Northern War on July 19, 1701 near the city of Riga, present-day Latvia. The Swedish king Charles XII was in hot pursuit of king Augustus II the Strong of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and Saxony. The crossing was easily made, and the coalition troops were quickly broken and retreated. Prelude During the first year of fighting in the Great Northern War, Charles XII of Sweden had delivered two crushing defeats on his enemies. In July 1700, he forced Frederick IV of Denmark out of the coalition against Sweden, after a brief landing on Humlebæk. He then settled to aid the besieged Narva (which at the time belonged to the Swedish Empire). The Getaway World Tour
The Getaway World Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers that was in support of their eleventh studio album, ''The Getaway (Red Hot Chili Peppers album), The Getaway'' which was released on June 17, 2016. It marked the first time since June 2014 that the band has toured. The tour began with benefit shows and North American festival dates in February 2016 followed by a summer festival tour with dates in Europe, Asia and North America starting in May 2016 and ending in August 2016. The Island Bridge ( lv, Salu tilts) is a bridge that crosses the Daugava river in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The bridge was built in the period from 1975 to 1977. Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand.
