Lucas Pinheiro Braathen
Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (; born 19April 2000) is a Norwegian-born Brazilian FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup Alpine skiing, alpine ski racer. Until his retirement from World Cup racing inOctober 2023, he represented Norway in international competition. In March 2024, Braathen announced that he would return to ski racing, representing Brazil instead. Early life Braathen was born in Oslo to a Norwegian father and Brazilian mother on 19 April 2000. His parents separated when he was three years old and Braathen went to Brazil with his mother. Later in his childhood, he moved back to Norway to live with his father regularly visiting Brazil. He grew up speaking Norwegian and Portuguese. Braathen first skied when he was three or four years old, but he did not start skiing again until he was nine years old. 2023 Alpine Skiing World Cup – Men's Slalom
The men's slalom in the 2022–23 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2023 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup consisted of ten events, including the discipline final. The season was interrupted by the 2023 World Ski Championships in the linked resorts of Courchevel and Méribel, France from 6–19 February 2023. Although the Alpine skiing branch of the International Ski Federation (FIS) conducts both the World Cup and the World Championships, the World Championships are organized by nation (a maximum of four skiers is generally permitted per nation), and (after 1970) the results count only for World Championship medals, not for World Cup points. Accordingly, the results in the World Championship are highlighted in blue and shown in this table by ordinal position only in each discipline.
