Luc Terlinden
Luc Terlinden is a Belgian prelate of the Catholic Church, who has been Archbishop of Malines-Brussels and head of the Military Ordinariate of Belgium since September 2023. He is president of the Conference of Belgian bishops. He is the second youngest prelate to become primate of Belgium. Biography Luc Terlinden was born in Etterbeek on 17 October 1968. He is the youngest of seven children born to Colonel Baron Maximilien Terlinden (1927-2016) and Geneviève van der Rest (1935-2002). He attended the Institut Saint-Stanislas in Brussels from 1980 to 1986. He began his university work in commercial and management engineering at the Catholic University of Louvain and earned a degree in economics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 1991, having chosen the latter to perfect his Dutch. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Anglican In the Anglican Communion, the style is applied to archbishops (including those who, for historical reasons, bear an alternative title, such as presiding bishop), rather than the style "The Right Reverend" which is used by other bishops. "The Most Reverend" is used by both primates (the senior archbishop of each independent national or regional church) and metropolitan archbishops (as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province within a national or regional church). John Henry Newman
John Henry Newman (21 February 1801 – 11 August 1890) was an English theologian, academic, intellectual, philosopher, polymath, historian, writer, scholar and poet, first as an Anglican priest and later as a Catholic priest and cardinal, who was an important and controversial figure in the religious history of England in the 19th century. He was known nationally by the mid-1830s, and was canonised as a saint in the Catholic Church in 2019. Originally an evangelical academic at the University of Oxford and priest in the Church of England, Newman became drawn to the high-church tradition of Anglicanism. He became one of the more notable leaders of the Oxford Movement, an influential and controversial grouping of Anglicans who wished to return to the Church of England many Catholic beliefs and liturgical rituals from before the English Reformation. François Touvet (born 13 May 1965) is a French prelate of the Catholic Church who was bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Châlons, Châlons from 2015 to 2023. On 21 November 2023 he was named coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Roman Catholic Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon, Fréjus-Toulon. The pallium (derived from the Roman ''pallium'' or ''palla'', a woolen cloak; : ''pallia'') is an ecclesiastical vestment in the Catholic Church, originally peculiar to the pope, but for many centuries bestowed by the Holy See upon metropolitans and primates as a symbol of their conferred jurisdictional authorities, and still remains a papal emblem.
