Lubor Bárta
Lubor Bárta (8 August 1928 in Lubná near Litomyšl – 5 November 1972 in Prague) was a Czech composer. Bárta studied musicology and aesthetics from 1946 to 1948 at Charles University in Prague and was a pupil of Jaroslav Řídký at the Academy of Performing Arts until 1952. While he was still a student, he composed his first chamber works: ''Piano Variations'', ''Three Polka Studies'', ''Violin Sonata'', ''Divertimento for Wind Quintet'' and ''String Quartet''. His early compositions were influenced by Stravinsky and Bartók, but he gradually came into his own compositional style, especially apparent in his instrumental works. From 1952 to 1955 he was an artistic leader of the ensemble ''Proud''.Černušák (1963), p. 50 He subsequently lived as a teacher and freelance composer in Prague. Ľubor Kresák
Ľubor Kresák (23 August 1927 in Topoľčany – 20 January 1994 in Bratislava) was a Slovakia, Slovak astronomer. He discovered two comets: the periodic comet 41P/Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresak and the non-periodic C/1954 M2 (Kresak-Peltier). He also suggested in 1978 that the Tunguska event was a fragment of the periodic comet Encke. The asteroid 1849 Kresák was named in his honor. His wife Margita Kresáková was also an astronomer. Lubor Niederle
Lubor Niederle (September 20, 1865 – June 14, 1944) was a Czechs, Czech archeologist, anthropologist and ethnographer. He is seen as one of the founders of modern archeology in Czech lands. He was born in Klatovy. He studied at the Charles University in Prague from 1883 to 1887. He was initially interested in classical archaeology, then studied anthropology, sociology and ethnology. Later, he studied in Munich under professor Johannes Rank (1889) and in Paris under professor Léonce Manouvriere at the École d’anthropologie. Niederle also travelled in several Slavic countries, studying archaeological findings and historical documents. In 1898 Niederle was named professor at the Charles University. As archaeologist he had represented the "university school" (''univerzitní škola''), opposed to the "museum school" (''muzejní škola'') represented by archaeologist Josef Ladislav Píč.
