Loyola Memorial Park - Marikina
The Loyola Memorial Park is a cemetery and columbarium in Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1964, and was developed by Group Developers, Inc., which operates a second Loyola Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque. The Marikina park covers an area of with 60,000 burials as of 2019. Monuments and memorials The Loyola Memorial Park hosts "The Redemption 1974" by Eduardo Castrillo (a set of 13 massive cut and welded brass figures, 800 square meters, locally known as ''Last Supper of Jesus Christ'' monument which marks the complex's columbarium. The ''Bulaklak ng Pakikiramay'' (Flowers of Condolences) is an area within the park which is dedicated to Marikina City Police officers who have died. Lorenzo Martinez "Ka Tanny" Tañada Sr. (, August 10, 1898 – May 28, 1992) was a Filipino statesman, lawyer, human and civil rights defender, and national athlete. Eraño de Guzman Manalo (; January 2, 1925 – August 31, 2009), also known as Ka Erdy, was the second Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), serving from April 19, 1963, until August 31, 2009. He took over the administration of the church after the death of his father, Felix Y. Manalo, in 1963. He was instrumental in the propagation and expansion of the church internationally. Felix Manalo (born Félix Ysagun y Manalo; May 10, 1886 – April 12, 1963), also known as Ka Felix, was a Filipino minister who founded Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), a restorationist nontrinitarian Christian denomination in the Philippines officially founded in 1914. Pilar Manalo Danao (March 10, 1914 – November 26, 1987) also known as Ka Pilar, Manang and PMD, was the eldest daughter of Felix Y. Manalo and the first Head Choir Director of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) from 1942 until her death in 1987. She was instrumental in the creation of hymns for INC; she is the sole lyricist of the church’s Tagalog hymnal, ''Ang Himnario ng Iglesia ni Cristo''. The hymnal originally contained 220 songs, and its first publication in 1937 bears her name and initials imprinted on hymnals (in Tagalog and English) and musical scores (Tagalog) for the choir. Virgilio "Baby" Adam Dalupan (October 19, 1923 – August 17, 2016) was a Filipino basketball coach and player.
