Allen Lowrie
Allen Lowrie (10 October 1948 - 30 August 2021) was a Western Australian Botany, botanist. He was recognised for his expertise on the genera ''Drosera'' and ''Stylidium''.Council of Heads of Australasian HerbariaResources of Australian Herbaria: Western Australian Herbarium accessed 21 June 2013. Lowrie, originally a businessman and inventor, first experienced the Carnivorous plant, carnivorous flora of Western Australia in the late sixties and studied it as an amateur. Over time, his hobby turned into a profession and Lowrie discovered and described numerous species (especially ''Drosera'', ''Byblis'' and ''Utricularia''), partly together with Neville Marchant. From 1987 to 1998 he published ''Carnivorous Plants of Australia'' in three volumes. A completely revised second edition, entitled ''Carnivorous Plants of Australia Magnum Opus'' was published in 2014. References

Layo & Bushwacka! is the pseudonym of British DJ duo Layo Paskin and Matthew Benjamin, who released four tech house albums between 1998 and 2012. Layo Paskin Paskin, from London, began his DJ career at the age of sixteen while working at Camden Market. Not long after, he began DJing at warehouse parties with Mr. C. In the course of his work, Paskin's father discovered the building that would become The End, a 19th-century stable for mail horses. Along with Mr. C, Paskin was the co-owner of The End nightclub in London. Labelled variously as tech house, house or breakbeat, the pair usually record and DJ together. Paskin's father is an architect and designed the club. Paskin, along with his sister Zoë Paskin, is now a restaurateur with several hospitality businesses in central London. Walter Lowrie (politician)
Walter Lowrie (December 10, 1784December 14, 1868) was a politician from Butler County, Pennsylvania. He served in both houses in the state legislature and represented Pennsylvania in the United States Senate. Serving as chairman of the Committee on Finance during the 2nd session of the 17th Congress. After his term as a Senator, Lowrie stayed on as secretary of the Senate for eleven years. In 1836 he moved to New York City and went to work with the Missionary Board of the Presbyterian Church. He remained with them until his death. Three of his sons, John Cameron, Walter Macon, and Reuben, were prominent as missionaries to India and China. A nephew, Walter H. Lowrie, later served as chief justice of Pennsylvania's Supreme Court. Lowrie died in New York City on December 14, 1868, and is interred in the First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Todd Lowrie (born 14 July 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. He played at and and played for the Newcastle Knights, Parramatta Eels, Melbourne Storm, New Zealand Warriors and Brisbane Broncos. Ronald Lowrie (born 5 March 1955) is a retired professional Scottish footballer and manager. He made over 240 appearances as a goalkeeper in the Scottish League for Alloa Athletic between 1984 and 1991 and also played league football for Queen's Park, Clydebank, Hamilton Academical and Partick Thistle. He played Dennis Tanner in the long-running ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' from its inception in 1960 until 1968 and again from 2011 until 2014.
