Perundurai is a Special Grade Town Panchayat in Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Perundurai is the only special grade town panchayat among 42 in the district. Perundurai has developed as the industrial center with SIPCOT Industrial Estate and SEZ Complex. It is the Asia's Second largest SIPCOT. Bhavani is an Indian river which flows through Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, India. It originates from the Western Ghats of Kerala and is one among the 3 rivers of Kerala which flows in eastward direction. Contour Canal
A contour canal is an artificially-dug navigable canal which closely follows the contour line of the land it traverses in order to avoid costly engineering works such as boring a tunnel through higher ground, building an embankment over lower ground, or constructing a canal lock (or series of locks) to change the level of the canal. Kalingarayan Canal
Mamannar Kalingarayan Canal is a long irrigation canal in the Erode district, Tamil Nadu, India. It was constructed by Chieftain Mamannar Kalingarayan Gounder and completed in 1283. The canal's source is the Kalingarayan Anicut dam near Bhavani, Erode. The canal irrigates approximately of agricultural land.
