Lovebites (band)
Lovebites (stylized as LOVEBITES) is a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup currently consists of Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, Asami on vocals, and Fami on bass. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album in 2017, '' The Lovebites EP'' and '' Awakening from Abyss'', before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, '' Battle Against Damnation'' and '' Clockwork Immortality'', Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within a symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent in, for example, extreme metal. Glory, Glory, To The World
''Glory, Glory, to the World'' is the third EP by Japanese power metal band Lovebites. The EP was released in Japan on March 10, 2021, by Victor Entertainment. It was released in the United Kingdom by JPU Records on May 28, 2021. It debuted at number 10 on the ''Billboard Japan'' Hot Albums chart, and number 11 on the Oricon Albums Chart. It is the final studio release to feature bassist and founding member Miho, who left the band five months later. Background ''Glory, Glory, to the World'' was written and recorded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lovebites' tour in support of their third album, ''Electric Pentagram'', was halted half-way through and the members could not decide what to do. Stratovarius
Stratovarius is a Finnish power metal band. Formed in 1984, they have released sixteen studio albums, six DVDs and six live albums. The band's line-up has changed many times, with no founding member left since the departure of drummer Tuomo Lassila in 1995, and no member from their early recording days left following guitarist Timo Tolkki's departure in 2008. Currently, the longest standing member is singer Timo Kotipelto, who joined in 1994. The band was founded in August 1984 as Black Water, consisting of Lassila as singer and drummer, guitarist Staffan Stråhlman, bassist John Vihervä, and, later, keyboardist Antti Ikonen. Children of Bodom was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo. Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee.
