Love Song (Blue Café Song)
Poland was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Love Song", composed by Paweł Rurak-Sokal, with lyrics by Tatiana Okupnik, and performed by the band Blue Café. The Polish participating broadcaster, (TVP), organised the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. The national final took place on 24 January 2004 and featured fifteen entries. "Love Song" performed by Blue Café was selected as the winner after gaining the most votes from the public with 57,125 votes. As one of ten highest placed finishers in the Poland directly qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 15 May 2004. Sertab Erener (born 4 December 1964) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. With her coloratura soprano voice, she started working as a backing vocalist for Sezen Aksu, and with Aksu's help she released her first studio album in the 1990s. Because of her education in classical music, she initially had difficulties in performing pop music. Although she did experimental works from time to time, she eventually preferred to focus on making pop music instead of avant-garde works, in order to make her music heard by a larger audience. Poland has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times since its debut in . The Polish participating broadcaster in the contest is (TVP). Artur Orzech (born 22 February 1964) is a Polish journalist, musician, iranologist, radio and television presenter and music broadcaster. Early life and education Orzech graduated from ''IV Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Adama Mickiewicza w Warszawie'' in 1983 with an English degree. In 1989, he earned a Master degree in Iranian Studies from the University of Warsaw. Marcin Rozynek (born 16 May 1971 in Żywiec) is a Polish rock vocalist, songwriter, and music producer. He has released six albums, two of them recorded with the band Atmosphere. He has also cooperated with Grzegorz Ciechowski. Career Marcin Rozynek began his music career in the bands ''Esther'' 1989 and ''Książę i Esther'' 1992. Leif Arne Sundin (born 22 March 1971) is a Swedish rock vocalist and songwriter who has performed and recorded with Michael Schenker, John Norum and Brian Robertson among others. Career Starting his career as vocalist with Swedish rock band Great King Rat, Sundin was described by Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page in Kerrang! magazine as "the nearest thing I've seen to a young Paul Rodgers". Budka Suflera (, "prompter's box") is a Polish rock band which was started in 1969 in Lublin by Krzysztof Cugowski. Although they disbanded soon after, Cugowski and Romuald Lipko reformed the band in 1974 and were active until 2014. The next reunion occurred in 2019. History Early days (1969–1974) The band was started in 1969 with jam sessions by Krzysztof Cugowski (vocals), Krzysztof Brozi (lead guitar), Janusz Pędzisz (bass guitar) and Jacek Grün (drums). They performed cover versions of John Mayall, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin in local venues and disbanded after making a few radio recordings and several concerts. Natalia Maria Przybysz (born 1 September 1983 in Warsaw), also known as Natu or N'Talia, is a Polish rhythm and blues singer. She is a member of the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Związek Producentów Audio Video, ZPAV). Natalia Przybysz was one of the founding members of the popular Polish music group Sistars, together with her sister Paulina, from 2001 to 2006, briefly in 2011, and from 2012 to 2013.
