''Love.net'' is a 2011 Bulgarian drama film directed by Ilian Djevelekov. The film features top Bulgarian actors Hristo Shopov, Vladimir Penev, Zahari Baharov, Lilia Maraviglia, Koyna Ruseva, Diana Dobreva, Dilyana Popova. It is also the first movie appearance of British rock and roll and blues vocalist John Lawton known for his work with Lucifer's Friend, Uriah Heep and the Les Humphries Singers. Love.net is a film about "love at first virtual sight" directed by Ilian Djevelekov. Zachary Baharov
Zahari Emilov Baharov (; born August 12, 1980) is a Bulgarian actor, best known for portraying the roles of Moth in '' Zift'' (2008), Ivo Andonov in the BNT series ''Undercover'' (2011–2016), and Loboda in the HBO series ''Game of Thrones'' (2015). Early life and education Baharov was born on 12 August 1980 in Sofia. He was raised in the old part of the Ovcha Kupel district. His mother, Müjgan, is of ethnic Turkish origin; she is a philologist and hosts programmes in Turkish on the Bulgarian National Radio. Baharov attended William Gladstone Secondary School No. 18. After graduating, he majored in acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Ilian Djevelekov
Ilian Djevelekov (, ; born 10 May 1966) is a Bulgarian film director and producer. Career Djevelekov studied psychology at Sofia University, and graduated in film and television directing from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. In 1993, his student film ''I Want To Be Free'' won the Best Short Film award at the Golden Rose Film Festival in Varna. From 1994 to 2000, he worked as producer and director at Ku-Ku Film Company. In 2001, he founded the production company Miramar Film, together with Matey Konstantinov and Georgi Dimitrov, which now ranks among Bulgaria's top production companies for feature films, documentaries and TV commercials. Hristo Shopov
Hristo Naumov Shopov (, ; born 4 January 1964) is a Bulgarian actor. Shopov's father, Naum Shopov, was a famous Bulgarian actor as well. He is most noted for his 2004 portrayal of Pontius Pilate in Mel Gibson's ''The Passion of the Christ''. Shopov revived his role as Pilate in the 2006 film '' The Inquiry''. His dual roles as Pilate make him, along with Frank Thring, one of two actors to twice portray a character directly responsible for authorizing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He has become one of Bulgaria's most successful actors, making his debut in 1981 with ''Dishay, choveche'' (Breathe, Man!). John Lawton (musician)
John Cooper Lawton (11 July 1946 – 29 June 2021) was a British rock and blues vocalist best known for his work with Lucifer's Friend, Uriah Heep and the Les Humphries Singers. Biography Lawton began his musical career in North Shields, England, in the early '60s with The Deans, a bunch of kids who decided at random that he should be singer. He then moved on to West One and later Stonewall which included John Miles, Vic Malcolm (later of Geordie) and Paul Thompson (later of Roxy Music). After Stonewall finished their stint at Top Ten Club in Hamburg in 1969, Lawton decided to stay in Germany, after having been offered the job as singer with legendary German rock cult band Lucifer's Friend (1969–1976 and 1979–1995) with whom he recorded seven studio albums. He also joined the Les Humphries Singers, in the early '70s (which included the Eurovision Song Contest in '76). ''Zift'' (, ''Dzift'') is a 2008 black-and-white Bulgarian drama film that combines neo-noir and black comedy with socialist retro motifs; it is based on Vladislav Todorov's 2006 same-named novel and he also wrote the script. ''Zift'' was directed by Javor Gardev and premiered on 27 June 2008 at the 30th Moscow International Film Festival, where it won a Silver George for Best Director and the Best Film Prize of the Russian Film Clubs Federation. The Moscow International Film Festival (, Transliteration, translit. ''Moskóvskiy myezhdunaródniy kinofyestivál''; abbreviated as MIFF) is a film festival first held in Moscow in 1935 and became regular since 1959.
