Louise Burrows
Louise Burrows (''née'' Cooke; born 11 March 1978) is a former Australian rugby union player. She represented at four Rugby World Cups — 2002, 2006, 2014 and 2017. Burrows is a physical education teacher at Canberra Girls Grammar. In 1995, She joined the Royals Rugby Union club in Canberra when she was 17. She has represented the ACT. Burrows made her international debut for the Wallaroos against England in 2001 at Sydney. She played her last test at the 2017 Rugby World Cup against Canada. In January 2020, she joined the Brumbies squad for the Super W competition. The Canada women's national rugby union team represents Canada in international rugby union competitions. They are overseen by Rugby Canada, the governing body of rugby union in Canada. History The Canadian women's program began to develop in the 1980s with the first match being played in 1987 in Victoria, British Columbia against another international rugby start-up, the United States. Super Rugby Women's is an annual professional sports, professional women's rugby union club competition organised by Rugby Australia. It is contested by four clubs from Australia and one club from Fiji, who play a single series of Round-robin tournament, round-robin matches to determine the four participants of a single-elimination tournament. The ACT Brumbies Women are an Australian rugby union team based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The team competes in the annual Super W competition. They have competed in every edition since Rugby Australia announced that a national women's rugby competition would be launched in 2018. History The Brumbies only managed one win against the Melbourne Rebels during the inaugural season of Super W in 2018. In 2019 there was a change to the finals format with an additional playoff match added for the teams which finished second and third during the regular season.
