Louis Cole (musician)
Louis Maxwell Cole (born December 5, 1986) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and video producer who is the drummer, keyboardist, bassist and occasional singer of the independent electronic jazz-funk duo Knower. He is speculated to be a member of the avant-garde musical duo Clown Core. Cole has released five albums with Knower and four albums with Clown Core, beginning in 2010. As a solo artist, he self-released two albums before signing with Brainfeeder and releasing his third album, ''Time'' (2018). His fourth album, ''Quality Over Opinion'' (2022), was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Jazz Album. Early life Louis Cole was born in Los Angeles to a family with musical roots. Knower, also stylized as KNOWER, is an American independent electronic jazz-funk duo. The group primarily consists of Louis Cole (bass, drums, guitars, keyboards, vocals) and Genevieve Artadi (bass, keyboards, vocals); their full band includes saxophone, bass and keyboard players. The Grammy Award for Best Alternative Jazz is an award presented by the Recording Academy to honor quality alternative jazz music performances in any given year. The award was presented for the first time at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in 2024, and is the first new category in the jazz genre field since 1995. The academy announced the new category in June 2023, stating that the award "recognizes artistic excellence in Alternative Jazz albums by individuals, duos and groups/ensembles, with or without vocals." ''7'' is the ninth studio album by British soul and R&B singer-songwriter Seal. The album was released on 6 November 2015 by Warner Bros. Records. Its title comes from being Seal's seventh album of original songs, his first since '' Seal 6: Commitment'' (2010). The singles "Every Time I'm with You" and "Do You Ever" were released on 11 September 2015. Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel (born 19 February 1963) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is the recipient of three Brit Awards, four Grammy Awards and an MTV Video Music Award, with 20 million albums or singles sold by October 2011. She was previously the lead vocalist of the electropop band Pollyn. Artadi has released five albums with Knower beginning in 2010. He and his wife Nataly Dawn comprise the musical duo Pomplamoose, and he is co-leader of the band Scary Pockets and founder of the band Magaziine.
