Loud Pipes (band)
Loud Pipes (aka Loudpipes) were a Swedish hardcore punk band, active from 1994 to 1997, founded by Fredrik Lindgren (aka Freddie Eugene), and consisting of members from famous Swedish death metal and thrash metal bands ( Unleashed, Merciless, Entombed, and Unanimated). They made one album, one EP and a split-single during their existence, and also appeared on several compilation records. The members of the band were Fredrik Lindgren, Fredrik Karlén, Peter Stjärnvind, and Nandor Condor. They were initially signed with the Swedish label Burn Records, which Lindgren later also co-managed, and from 1996 with the French label Osmose Productions Osmose Productions () is a French independent record label created in 1991 by Hervé Herbaut, after he had spent three years running a small mail order company. Unanimated
Unanimated are a Swedish melodic death metal band. History The band formed in Stockholm and dissolved in 1996. They have 7 current complete members. Largely inspired by Dismember, they made two melodic death metal albums. In 1993, '' In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead'' was released on Pavement Music, a label which has since merged with Crash Music Inc. The album was one of the first melodic death metal albums of all time. In 1995 ''Ancient God of Evil'' was released on No Fashion Records, an independent Swedish label. The band also contributed to the 1996 Slayer tribute '' Slatanic Slaughter II'' with their cover of " Dead Skin Mask". Their music exemplifies the melodic Swedish sound and though primarily death metal, a black metal influence stands out. Hardcore punk (commonly abbreviated to hardcore or hXc) is a punk rock music genre#subtypes, subgenre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Terra Firma (band)
Terra Firma was a Swedish stoner metal band which was formed by Fredrik Lindgren after leaving Unleashed and with Lord Chritus a.k.a. Christian Lindersson, who used to sing in the Swedish band Count Raven and Los Angeles based band Saint Vitus. Terra Firma later broke up and Lindgren started a new band called Harms Way. Terra Firma also featured the band members Izmo Hedlund on drums and Nico Moosebeach on bass, who later moved onto Entombed. The band recorded two albums, a couple of vinyl singles and appeared on a couple of compilation CDs and split 7-inch vinyl. Terra Firma played shows in Sweden and undertook European tours with band such as Atomic Bitchwax, Cathedral, Orange Goblin, Dozer, Masters of Reality, Blackshine, Dismember, Murder Squad, Entombed and Mammoth Volume. Homy Hogs
Homy Hogs were a Swedish punk band formed in Bro, Upplands-Bro Municipality, in 1979, and were active until 1988 with some breaks. They are considered true Swedish pioneers in hardcore punk together with bands like Anti Cimex, Mob 47 and Headcleaners. This foremost considers their first releases, the album ''Nöje For Nekrofiler'' from 1981 and the EP ''Smash Overdose'' from 1982. Also the demo cassette '' Ljudfientlighet'' from 1980. After those, the band played more regular punk rock and other styles. They also made some recordings and an album under the fictitious alter ego band name ''Werewolves on Wheels'', taken from the title of their second album, idea-influenced by various concept albums. Peter Stjärnvind (born 11 August 1973) is a Swedish musician. His current position is the drummer of Krux and Swedish black metal band Pest, and guitarist and founder of Black Trip. Before that he also played in Loud Pipes (band), Merciless, Unanimated, Regurgitate, Entombed, Nifelheim, and Face Down. Entombed (band)
Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Along with Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, Entombed has been referred to as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.
