Lothar Barthel
Lothar Barthel (born 28 June 1937) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (Germany), Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and former member of the German Bundestag. Life Barthel had been a member of the CDU in the GDR since 1977 and was a member of the CDU district executive Gera and the CDU party executive before 1989. In March 1990, Barthel was elected to the Volkskammer in the Gera constituency on behalf of the CDU. In October 1990, he was one of the 144 members of parliament sent to the Bundestag by the Volkskammer. He was a member of the Bundestag until December 1990. The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet (assembly), Diet") is the German Federalism, federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. It is comparable to the United States House of Representatives or the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. The Bundestag was established by Title III of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany (, ) in 1949 as one of the legislative bodies of Germany and thus it is the historical successor to the earlier Reichstag (Weimar Republic), Reichstag. Kirchworbis
Kirchworbis is a municipality in the district of Eichsfeld in Thuringia, Germany. Kirchworbis lies to the south of the Langenberg, a summit in the Ohm Hills. Kirchworbis is first mentioned in a 1209 document as "Kirchworvece." Part of the Electorate of Mainz since the Middle Ages, the place became part of Prussia in 1802. After a short affiliation with the Kingdom of Westphalia, Kirchworbis was part of the Prussian Province of Saxony until 1945.
