Los Pikadientes de Caborca are a Mexican musical group whose debut single, "La Cumbia del Río", charted on the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Tracks in 2008. Los Pikadientes de Caborca began as a YouTube sensation, with many users posting viral videos of themselves dancing to the hit. Sony BMG signed the group in 2008 and released their full-length album, ''Vámonos Pa'l Río''. The album peaked at #52 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The band received a Grammy nomination for Best Regional Mexican Album at the 2009 Grammy Awards. and their live debut was in front of 200,000 people in Whittier Narrows Park. Francisco González won the Composer of the Year award from Monitor Latino in 2014. Other nominations include the Billboard Awards, Lo Nuestro Awards and the Grammys. Caborca
Caborca is the municipal seat of the Caborca Municipality in the List of states of Mexico, Mexican state of Sonora. The city has a population of 67,604, while the municipal population was 89,122 as of 2020. History The Hohokam inhabited the area from roughly 300 B.C. to 1400 A.D. The municipal seat was formed in the year 1688 as Misión La Purísima Concepción de Nuestra Señora de Caborca, by the Jesuit missionary Francisco Eusebio Kino on the point called Caborca Viejo (Old Caborca). Banda Los Recoditos
Banda Los Recoditos is a Mexican banda formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. It was founded in 1989 by friends and family members of Banda El Recodo by Cruz Lizárraga. Alfonso Lizárraga and Pancho Barraza, the first vocalists, were two of the more than dozen bandmembers comprising the original incarnation of the band. After releasing several albums, in 2010 the band released their album , featuring the single of the same title, which became a number-one hit in the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs chart. Calibre 50 () is a regional Mexican band. Formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, in 2010. The band has had several lineup changes, with the current roster consisting of lead vocalist and accordionist Beto Gastélum, backing vocalist & twelve-string guitarist Tony Elizondo, sousaphonist Alejandro Gaxiola, and drummer Erick García. The band is one of the most streamed regional Mexican acts in recent history. Their musical style employs a fusion of norteño and banda music, known as norteño-banda, with low notes played by a sousaphone instead of a bass guitar as is traditional in norteño music.
