Los Angeles Fashion Week
Fashion Week in Los Angeles occurs biannually. Multiple show producers hold events throughout the Greater Los Angeles area each March and October. Traditionally, the City of Los Angeles identified the third weekend of those respective months as the beginning of its Fashion Week. However, new independent event producers have been transitioning Fashion Week related activities to coincide closer in time with the LA Fashion Market Week. History Los Angeles Fashion Week was created as a West Coast alternative to New York Fashion Week, originally Press Week, which was created by Eleanor Lambert in 1953. Independently produced events, working alongside designers began inviting fashion journalists to see collections from Southern California. Guess Inc. (styled as GUESS or Guess?) is an American clothing company, notable for its black-and-white advertisements. Guess licenses its brand on other fashion accessories, such as watches, jewelry, perfumes, bags and shoes. Antonio Ramón Villaraigosa (; né Villar Jr. on January 23, 1953) is an American politician who served as the 41st Mayor of Los Angeles from 2005 to 2013. The Cathedral of Saint Vibiana (), often called St. Vibiana's, is the former Catholic cathedral for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Theatre is a 2,000-seat historic movie palace at 615 S. Broadway in the Jewelry District and Broadway Theater District in the historic core of Downtown Los Angeles.
