Lori Burton
Lori Burton (born Dolores Diana Squeglia, September 30, 1940 - May 20, 2021) was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Biography She was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and studied music at the University of Hartford before marrying recording engineer and later record producer Roy Cicala. In the mid-1960s she adopted the stage name Lori Burton (the surname taken from that of popular actor Richard Burton), and recorded a single, "Yeh, Yeh, Yeh (That Boy Of Mine)" for Roulette Records, before teaming up with English-born lyricist Pam Sawyer, the wife of producer Robert Mersey. Richie Unterberger (born 1962) is an American author and journalist whose focus is popular music and travel writing. Life and writing Unterberger attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he wrote for the university newspaper '' The Daily Pennsylvanian'' and in the early 1980s was a deejay on the Penn radio station, WXPN-FM. Just prior to graduating in late 1982, he started reviewing records for '' Op'' magazine, which marked the start of his career as a freelance writer. Rev-Ola Records is a British independent record label formed in 1990 that specializes in reissues, as well as select new releases. The label is headed by Joe Foster, a former child actor and musician/producer. He, along with Alan McGee and Dick Green, formed Creation Records, as well as the band Biff Bang Pow!. History The inspiration for Rev-Ola came from the Creation Records staff's love of finding or compiling old, rare, and bizarre records. "#9 Dream" is a song written by John Lennon and first issued on his 1974 album '' Walls and Bridges''. It was released as the second single from that album months later, on Apple Records catalogue Apple 1878 in the United States and Apple R6003 in the United Kingdom. It peaked at number9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot100, and it hit number23 on the British singles chart. A video for the song was made in 2003. Background "#9 Dream" came to Lennon in a dream. Lennon has said that the song was just "churned out" with "no inspiration". According to May Pang's website, two working titles for the song were "So Long Ago" and "Walls & Bridges". Irving B. Green (also known as Irvin B. Green) (February 6, 1916 – July 1, 2006) was an American record industry executive, and founder and president of Mercury Records. Biography Green was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Sylvia (née Langler) and Albert "Al" Green, the founder of National Records. His father was Jewish.
