Loonatheworld Tour
Loonatheworld Tour, also known as 2022 LOONA 1st World Tour : [LOONATHEWORLD] was the first worldwide concert tour by the South Korean girl group Loona. This marked the group's first-ever world tour and concerts outside of Seoul since their debut in 2018. The tour began in Los Angeles on August 1, 2022. Background On May 31, 2022, Blockberry Creative announced Loona's first tour in the United States. (The original announcement only had 9 shows compared to the now 14 shows.) On June 3, it was announced a second date was added to the Los Angeles show. The following day, tickets went on sale for the 10 dates and Blockberry Creative and MyMusicTaste announced that member Chuu would be unable to participate in the world tour due to pre-scheduled activities. Loona
Loona (stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; ; , ) is a South Korean girl group created by Blockberry Creative. The group is composed of eleven members: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Vivi, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves (singer), Yves, Go Won, and HyeJu. Originally a twelve-member group, Chuu was removed from the line-up on November 25, 2022, due to a contract dispute. The remaining members of the group departed Blockberry Creative later that year, putting the group on an indefinite hiatus. Palladium Times Square (formerly PlayStation Theater, Best Buy Theater and Nokia Theatre Times Square) is an indoor live events venue in New York City, located in One Astor Plaza, at the corner of Broadway and 44th Street. The Santander Arena (formerly known as the Sovereign Center) is a 7,160-seat multi-purpose arena, in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was built in 2001. The arena sits on the former site of the Astor Theater; one of several grand movie and theater palaces built in Reading in the early 20th century. Closed in 1975, the theater sat vacant for over two decades. In 1998, the Astor was demolished to make room for the Santander Arena. Early in construction, steps were taken to retain mementos of the Astor, including its ornate Art Deco chandelier and gates. These are on display and in use inside the arena corridors, allowing insight into the ambience of the former movie house.
