Longzhou County (; Zhuang: ) is a county of southwestern Guangxi, China, bordering Cao Bằng province, Vietnam. It is under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Chongzuo. Longzhou lies in a circular valley at the junction of the Xun and Gui rivers. Geography and climate Longzhou has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate (Köppen ''Cwa''), with short, mild winters, and long, very hot and humid summers. Winter begins dry but becomes progressively wetter and cloudier. Spring is generally overcast and often rainy, while summer continues to be rainy though is the sunniest time of year. Xun River
The Xun River ( Chinese: 浔江, pinyin: Xún Jiāng, jyutping: ''Cham4 Gong1'') is a short section of the main branch of the Pearl River system upstream from the Xi Jiang in China. Although less than 200km long, it is of considerable importance in Guangxi Province as it drains the majority of the province. The Xun River in name is formed by the Yu and Qian rivers, with the Qian being the greater of the two tributaries. The Xun then flows out of Guiping and through Pingnan, finally joining with the Gui Jiang in Wuzhou to form the Xi Jiang. The Xun is also a section of the Pearl's longest tributary. The Xun River flows from west to east roughly along the Tropic of Cancer. Longzhou Uprising
The Longzhou Uprising was an armed Chinese Communist Party uprising during the early years of the Chinese Civil War that took place in Longzhou County, Guangxi. Following on the heels of the Baise Uprising that had created the You River (Guangxi), You River Soviet to its north, the uprising began on 2 February 1930, and established the Zuo River Soviet in eight counties of southwest Guangxi. It was led by the Guangxi Front Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including Li Mingrui and Deng Xiaoping. Its military forces were organized into the Eighth Chinese Red Army, Red Army under Yu Zuoyu (俞作豫). The uprising was suppressed within only a few months by the Nationalist Army with help from French bombers operating out of French Indochina. The survivors joined the You River Soviet. Shuikou, Chongzuo
Shuikou is a town in Longzhou County, Chongzuo, Guangxi, China. It is a border town of Tà Lùng in Vietnam. Due to its location on the border crossing to Vietnam and its educational and medical infrastructure, Shuikou is of regional importance. Shuikou mainly produces sugar cane, rice, corn, beans and fruits such as jackfruit. Shuikou's main industries are in the food and medicine industries. The Köppen climate classification divides Earth climates into five main climate groups, with each group being divided based on patterns of seasonal precipitation and temperature.
