Longchuan River
The Longchuan River () is a main tributary of the Jinsha River, located in central Yunnan Province, China. The river begins at Laochanghe Reservoir. It flows east through Nanhua and Chuxiong City, then turns north into Luxi County and Yuanmou County, where it joins the Jinsha River near Jiangbian Township. The river is approximately 246 kilometers long and drains a watershed of about 9,240 square kilometers. Chuxiong City (; Chuxiong Yi Script: , IPA: ) is a county-level city and the capital of the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, in Central Yunnan Province, China. A streambed or stream bed is the bottom of a stream or river and is confined within a Stream channel, channel or the Bank (geography), banks of the waterway.
