''Long Lost'' is the fourth studio album by American indie folk band Lord Huron. It was released on May 21, 2021, by Republic Records. The album received widespread acclaim from music critics who praised its poetic lyricism, somber production & refined vocal harmonies. Lord Huron
Lord Huron is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles. The band is composed of Mark Barry (drums, percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass, keyboard, theremin), Tom Renaud (guitar) and its founder, Ben Schneider (guitar, lead singer). Allison Ponthier is an American indie folk singer and songwriter. Her debut EP ''Faking My Own Death'' was released in 2021, and her second EP ''Shaking Hands With Elvis'' was released in 2022. Early life and education Ponthier was born and raised in the town of Allen, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, and studied jazz at the University of North Texas before moving to Brooklyn, New York in 2017 at age 20. Indie Folk
Indie folk is a music genre that arose in the 1990s among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music. Indie folk hybridizes the acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation. Baroque Pop
Baroque pop (sometimes called baroque rock) is a fusion genre that combines rock music with particular elements of classical music. It emerged in the mid 1960s as artists pursued a majestic, orchestral sound and is identifiable for its appropriation of Baroque compositional styles ( contrapuntal melodies and functional harmony patterns) and dramatic or melancholic gestures.
