Lone Dencker Wisborg
Lone Dencker Wisborg (born 31 January 1966) is a Danish diplomat, lawyer and Civil service, civil servant. She was the Permanent representative, Permanent Representative of Danish Realm, Denmark to NATO between 2022 and 2025, having previously served as List of ambassadors of Denmark to the United States, Ambassador of Denmark to the United States, from 2019 to 2022, the first woman to hold that position. Early life and education Lone Dencker Wisborg was born on 31 January 1966 in Brønderslev, Denmark. She grew up in Brønderslev in Northern Jutland, with her mother, father and an older brother four years her senior. In 1991, she obtained a Master of Laws (Candidate of Law, cand.jur) degree from Aarhus University. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style (manner of address), style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office and is held only during tenure of that office. Generally people addressed as ''Excellency'' are heads of state, heads of government, governors, ambassadors, Roman Catholic bishops, high-ranking ecclesiastics, and others holding equivalent rank, such as heads of international organizations.
