London Royal Ravens
The Carolina Royal Ravens (formerly London Royal Ravens) are an American professional Call of Duty League (CDL) esports team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Carolina Royal Ravens is owned by ReKTGlobal, an esports parent company who also owns Rogue (esports), Rogue. History ReKTGlobal announced that it had bought the London slot in the CDL on 13 September 2019. The team was the first of the twelve CDL teams to reveal its branding, announced on 15 October 2019 as the London Royal Ravens. The team name was inspired by the Ravens of the Tower of London legend. On 12 November 2020, it was announced that Sidemen (YouTube group), Sidemen member Vikkstar123, Vikram "Vikkstar123" Singh Barn had become the co-owner of the team. Ahead of the 2024 season, the franchise was relocated to the Carolinas in the United States, rebranding the franchise as the Carolina Royal Ravens. The Call of Duty League (CDL) is a professional esports league for the video game series ''Call of Duty'', produced by its publisher Activision. The Call of Duty League follows the model of the Overwatch League as well as other traditional North American professional sporting leagues by using a set of permanent, city-based teams backed by separate ownership groups. In addition, the league plays in a tournament point system and playoffs format rather than the use of promotion and relegation used commonly in other esports and non-North American leagues, with players on the roster being assured a minimum annual salary, benefits, and a portion of winnings and revenue-sharing based on how that team performs. The 2025 Call of Duty League season is the sixth season of the Call of Duty League, an esports league based on the video game franchise ''Call of Duty''. Teams Regular season The 2025 CDL season will begin on December 6, 2024. Teams will compete in four Majors throughout the season, culminating in the Call of Duty Championship tournament. The four majors will be played in Madrid (which will be the first tournament not held in North America since the inaugural season of the league), Dallas, Boca Raton and Dallas again. Cloud9 New York are an American professional Call of Duty League (CDL) esports team based in New York City. The team is operated by Cloud9, an esports organization owned by Jack Etienne. The team were formerly known as the New York Subliners (NYSL), owned by Sterling Equities subsidiary Sterling.VC. New York was announced as one of the first five cities to own a spot in the CDL.
