London International Development Centre
The London International Development Centre (LIDC) was established in 2007, through funding of £3.7m from HEFCE. LIDC is a collaborative between University of London's Bloomsbury Colleges ( Birkbeck, the UCL Institute of Education, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Royal Veterinary College, and SOAS) and now has 3,000 staff, student and alumni members from its constituent colleges. As of August 2017, Queen Mary, University of London and City, University of London City, University of London was a public university from 1966 to 2024 in London, England. HEFCE
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) was a non-departmental public body in the United Kingdom, which was responsible for the distribution of funding for higher education to universities and further education colleges in England since 1992. It ceased to exist as of 1 April 2018, when its duties were divided between the newly created Office for Students and Research England (operating within United Kingdom Research and Innovation). Most universities are charities and HEFCE (rather than the Charity Commission for England and Wales) was their principal regulator.
