London Buslines
London Buslines was a bus operator in London that operated services under contract to London Buses between July 1985 and March 1996. History London Buslines was formed to bid for bus services being put out to tender by London Buses as part of the deregulation of London bus services. It was owned by coach company proprietor Len Wright. It commenced trading on 13 July 1985, when it became the first private operator to operate a London Buses service on route 81. Further contracts to operate other routes were won including routes 79, 90, 92, 190, 203, 258 and 285. Southall () is a large suburban town in West London, England, part of the London Borough of Ealing and is one of its seven major towns. The Dennis Dart is a Rear-engine design, rear-engined single-decker bus, single-decker midibus chassis that was introduced by Dennis Specialist Vehicles, Dennis of Guildford, England, in 1989, replacing the Dennis Domino. Initially built as a high-floor design, in 1996 the Low-floor bus, low-floor second generation Dennis Dart SLF was launched. In 2001, production of the Dart SLF passed to TransBus International, during which time it was sold as the TransBus Dart SLF; Alexander Dennis took over production in 2004, renaming the product as the Alexander Dennis Dart SLF. Leyland Olympian
The Leyland Olympian is a 2-axle and 3-axle double-decker bus chassis that was manufactured by Leyland between 1980 and 1993. It was the last Leyland bus model in production. Construction The Olympian had the same chassis and running gear as the Leyland Titan integral double deck bus which was ordered in large numbers by London Transport. At the time there was a demand for non-integral vehicles, because operators wished to have the chassis bodied by other manufacturers. Thus Leyland created the B45 project, which was named Olympian, in 1979. This was in many ways an update of the popular Bristol VRT (Bristol Commercial Vehicles merged with Leyland in 1965), with many VR customers choosing Olympians. The Daimler Fleetline (known as the Leyland Fleetline from circa 1975) is a rear-engined double-decker bus chassis which was built between 1960 and 1983. It was the second of three bus models to have a marque name as well as an alphanumeric identity code. The other two were the Freeline and the Roadliner. Design The Daimler Fleetline was the second rear-engined double-decker bus chassis to be launched by a UK manufacturer, following Leyland's introduction of the Atlantean in 1958. London Regional Transport (LRT) was the organisation responsible for most of the public transport network in London, England, between 1984 and 2000.
